Regenerative Medicine
and Orthobiologics
One of the hottest and most exciting topics in recent memory involves the development and use of the body’s ability to regenerate damaged tissue. While regenerative medicine and the use of stem cells and stem cell mediators such as platelets remains in its infancy, patients of our practice are able to experience the benefits of these applications.
Dayton Orthopedic Surgery offers multiple treatment options derived from the use of regenerative medicine techniques. Some treatment options have shown greater promise than others. Nonetheless, with proper patient selection, education, and utilizing proper imaging techniques, patients in our practice are able to experience the best opportunity to heal without surgical intervention.
Not every patient is a candidate for the use of stem cells or platelet technology at the present time. However a surprising number of patients with significant orthopedic conditions have shown considerable improvement after administering this treatment.

It is our intent to offer these new and novel treatment options to clients of our practice. Because of this approach we have an opportunity to spend time getting to know our patients, their needs and expectations. Regenerative medicine is not to be taken lightly and each patient is entitled to have a thorough workup and radiographs prior to administering this treatment. In this manner patients are educated about their orthopedic conditions and the likelihood of success with stem cell treatment.
We are pleased to offer several different regenerative treatment options for a multitude of orthopedic conditions many of which are debilitating. As the list of diagnoses grows that can be treated effectively by the application of stem cells or platelet rich plasma, we plan on offering this very unique and specific treatment to our patient population.

Happy Patients

“Listened & understood my needs before surgery. The surgery went very well, and was just as he explained. Post surgery recovery time was much less than expected. Absolutely no pain, very minimal discomfort, and was back doing my normal routine with only slight modification within 2 months. I am very, very happy with Dr. Paley & his staff.”
